Measurements of Horizontal Movements

All natural and constructed objects on the Earth’s surface have unique horizontal site. Quite often even small movements of a particular object during some time period can be dangerous and it can involve some damage on the object itself, on the surrounding area and even on the human safety and health.

We can identify even small discrepancies of object’s horizontal site with appropriate geodetic methods. Our experts are enable to measure horizontal coordinates of reference geodetic network and control points on objects with all contemporary methods:

triangulation with I. and II. level of accuracy
trilateration with I. and II. level of accuracy.

For terrestrial measurements we use electronic total station Leica TC1800. All observations during different time periods are realized with the same instrument and appertain tools of the same manufacturer and the same procedure.

Special geodetic control networks for observations respectively measurements of horizontal movements are established what enables needful supernumerary observations of particular object’s points. With supernumerary observations we can assure high quality results (horizontal coordinates). Horizontal geodetic network is calculated extra in every time period with software GEMWIN. This method gives us high accuracy results, which are needful for further deformation analyses and statistical determination of calculated movements. Statistically calculated movements of all observations during different time periods are finally calculated with software PREMIK.

Final product of complete works is technical report, which contains all needful data about measurements, evaluations and results, which are professionally analyzed and interpreted. Beside numerical results our technical reports contain graphical part with standard error analyses (error ellipses, movements directions).
